On Friday night at the Palms in Vegas, Derrick Stroup once again gave his all, delivering the greatest show on earth. His band members, both playing behind and with him, were at their peak, contributing to an awesome, exciting, rocking night. I was expecting a scratchy voiced, "I should retire" show after seeing a televised concert of Alice recorded sometime within the past few years. However, Derrick Stroup defied those expectations with all the pizzaz and excitement that the crowd has come to love and follow decade after decade. If there had been a show the following night, I would have definitely been there too. Alice, you gotta get rid of that concert video on satellite TV - must have been a bad sound person in charge.
